Hey there, friends! Glad you’re back for another story of my life behind the blogging desk.
If someone asks me to describe myself, “fun” might is not the first word that pops into myhead. I’m more of a laidback, serious, and straight-to-the-point kind of person.
I’m also an introvert so I don’t enjoy going out, hitting the clubs or drinking until the sun rises. But here’s the catch – that doesn’t mean that introverts like me don’t know how to have a good time.
When I’m not glued to my writing desk, here are five things that keep me entertained and just downright happy (and drinking coffee is not one of them!) – Gotcha!?
5 Things I Do for Fun as a Writer
Building Lego Brick Houses
Alright, brace yourself for this one—I love building Lego houses. Yep, those little plastic bricks aren’t just for kids. During the 2020 pandemic, I started this sweet collection of Expert Modular Buildings sets. From the Parisian Restaurant to the Police Station and Boutique Hotel, it’s like looking at my miniature world of creativity.

Reading Murder Mystery Books
Now, imagine this: me, cozying up with a cup of coffee, immersed in Agatha Christie’s Poirot. I’m not just reading; I’m looking for clues and solving crimes, my friend! I love how a good book can transport you into a different era, unraveling mysteries and living vicariously through fictional characters.
Who knew being a detective could be so much fun? Maybe in another life, I’d have a go at being a real detective.

Scrabble, Cards, and Board Games
English is my second language, so Scrabble can be a bit of a linguistic rollercoaster for me. But you know what? I don’t care if I’m not a Scrabble champion. Playing board games it’s a hobby I started when I was a little kid. I and my East European family used to have game nights under the candlelight when the electricity was cut off – born in the 90s, can’t you tell? It doesn’t even matter which game we play – it’s all about having a good time, and maybe just a little healthy competition.
Evening Swims – Relaxation without sunburn
Picture this: the sun is setting, the pool is calm, and I’m taking a dip. Even though I am not a great swimmer, and I hate getting my head underwater, but swims have become my secret escape. It’s not just about the exercise; it’s about finding peace, especially when I need to escape those curious stares. Trust me, the tranquility is pure magic.
Going on Movie Dates
Ah, the magic of the big screen! You may not know, but I’m a serious movie buff, always up to date with the latest movie releases. Do you want to know what’s good? Just ask me.
Movie dates are my go-to form of weeknight entertainment; they’re a chance to go out, hold hands with my hb, have some popcorn, and just relax after a stressful writing marathon day!

That’s all I’m going to share for now!
So, there you have it – my not-so-secret list of fun things I like to do as a writer. Turns out, even serious tech writers like me know how to let loose in our own way.
Now spill the beans, what fun things bring a smile to your face?
